Access to the GLATOS Data Portal requires registration in GLATOS as a member. Membership is granted to any individual serving as a principal Investigator (PI) or as a co-principal investigator of a past, on-going, or future acoustic telemetry project focused in the Laurentian Great Lakes, their connecting waters, or Lake Champlain who plans to contribute tag detection data and to access tag detection data from GLATOS.

Process for Obtaining Membership:
Request an account using the link above. Provide your name, organization/affiliation, email and create a personal password using the online form. Once you submit the request, an e-mail will be sent to GLATOS administrators who will review the request for membership using the following criteria:

Criteria for Granting Membership:
Evidence of active [telemetry] research activity through affiliation with a university, government agency, or environmental consulting business (e.g., email address such as *.gov, agency website personnel listing, telemetry project proposal).

GLATOS is a collaborative network for the exchange of data owned by individual members. Each principal investigator (member) determines who can access their project’s detailed biological tagging data and subsequent detections of those tagged fish, consistent with their own agency or funding source policy. To facilitate collaboration and planning, receiver locations and dates of operation are available to all members. Non-members do not have access to data.
